Israeli families mourn as hostages Shiri Bibas and her children confirmed dead
Israel's Hostages and Missing Families Forum announced that Shiri Bibas and her two children, Ariel and Kfir, are among four dead hostages to be returned from Gaza. This marks the first handover of deceased hostages since the ceasefire with Hamas began in January. The Bibas family expressed anger over the Israeli Prime Minister's Office releasing their names without consent. The IDF acknowledged the mistake and expressed regret for the distress caused to the families. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the upcoming day as "difficult" and "wrenching" for Israel. He emphasized the need to prevent such tragedies in the future. There are still 69 hostages unaccounted for.
