Israel prepares for return of bodies of youngest Gaza hostages
Israel is preparing to receive the bodies of Kfir Bibas, nine months old, and his four-year-old brother Ariel, along with their mother, Shiri Bibas. They were taken by Hamas during the October 7 attack. The handover is part of a ceasefire agreement. This marks the first return of bodies under the current ceasefire, which began on January 19. The agreement allows for exchanges of hostages and prisoners, with six living hostages set to be returned on Saturday. Negotiations for a second phase of the agreement are expected soon, aiming to secure the return of around 60 remaining hostages. However, discussions on the future governance of Gaza remain unresolved.
