Israel postpones release of Palestinian prisoners after hostage exchange concerns
Israel has postponed the release of Palestinian prisoners, following a hostage exchange with Hamas. Prime Minister Netanyahu's office cited concerns over Hamas's treatment of hostages as the reason for the delay. Previously, Israel planned to free 602 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for six hostages released by Hamas. This included 50 prisoners serving life sentences. Now, the release is on hold until further hostages are assured to be freed without any humiliating ceremonies. Preparations for the prisoner release were canceled on Saturday evening.
