Israel disputes Hamas claim on returned body, accuses militants of killing boys

Israel announced that one of the four bodies returned from Gaza is not Shiri Bibas, a hostage. The Israeli military stated that the remains of her two sons, Ariel and Kfir, were identified, and they accused Hamas of killing them. The military spokesman said the other body does not match any known abductees. Israel demands the return of Shiri Bibas and all other hostages. They assert that her sons were killed by Palestinian militants in November 2023. Hamas had claimed the bodies belonged to Shiri and her sons, along with another hostage, Oded Lifshitz. This was the first handover of Israeli bodies during the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza.
