Irish premier calls Oval Office meeting unsettling and extraordinary

He emphasized the need for Europe to engage with the US while supporting Ukraine. Martin met Zelensky earlier this week and plans to meet Trump in March. He noted that Europe is concerned about Russia's military actions and feels the need to enhance its own defense capabilities. The Taoiseach highlighted the importance of sustainable peace in Ukraine, stating that Europe, particularly France and the UK, is prepared to deter future Russian aggression. He reaffirmed Ireland's solidarity with Ukraine through discussions with Ukrainian officials.
