Iran to receive Russian Su-35 jets after US conflict, IRGC says

jpost.com —

Iran will receive Russian-made Su-35 fighter jets after the US-Iran war ends, Revolutionary Guards spokesman General Mohammad Akraminia told Iranian media on Sunday, according to a report. Akraminia said the IRGC had completed procurement contracts and pilot training before the war began in late February, but the aircraft were not delivered. He stated the jets would arrive after the conflict to upgrade Iran's air fleet. While Akraminia did not name Russia, it is the sole manufacturer of Su-35s. He also said Iran is developing domestic radar and satellite systems, noting US sanctions have complicated military rebuilding.
