India issues high-risk alert for Mozilla Firefox users to update browser immediately
The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a high-risk alert for Mozilla Firefox, warning users of serious vulnerabilities that could allow hackers to access personal data. Versions prior to 131, including 128.3 and 115.16, are particularly at risk. Users are advised to update Firefox to the latest version immediately. If updating is not possible, uninstalling the older version is recommended. Regular monitoring for security updates is also suggested to protect against potential threats. In a separate advisory, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) warned users about scams related to mobile tower installation offers. TRAI clarified that no official permissions are issued for such installations, urging caution against fraudulent solicitations.
