IMD forecasts above normal temperatures in Kerala over next two days

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that maximum temperatures in some areas of the state will be 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal over the next two days. In response, the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has issued guidelines for the public. They recommend avoiding direct sunlight from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., staying hydrated, and wearing light clothing. Schools are instructed to provide adequate drinking water and protect students from the heat. Markets and buildings are also advised to take precautions against fire hazards.
