Ikea revives Byakorre bookshelf inspired by 1985 design for 2025 launch

Ikea is reintroducing the Byakorre bookshelf, a colorful unit inspired by its 1985 Guide bookshelf. The new design features reversible shelves in white and gray, with bright edges in blue, green, yellow, and red, allowing for customization. The Byakorre will be part of Ikea's Nytillverkad collection, set to launch in February 2025. This collection celebrates retro designs and includes updated versions of vintage chairs, a bench, and textiles from the 1970s and 1980s. The Byakorre bookshelf reflects Ikea's ongoing effort to blend nostalgic designs with modern functionality, appealing to a new generation of customers.
