Summary: Hurricane Beryl caused devastation across the Caribbean and Texas, leaving at least 11 dead in the Caribbean and three in Texas. The UN allocated over $US4 million in relief to affected Caribbean islands. Beryl hit Jamaica, Mexico, and Texas after becoming the fastest-developing category five Atlantic hurricane. Tens of thousands were left without power in Mexico, and nearly 3 million in Texas. Flooding and tornadoes are expected in Texas and surrounding states.
