Hurricane Beryl devastates Caribbean and Texas, leaving fatalities

Hurricane Beryl caused devastation across the Caribbean and Texas, leaving at least 11 dead in the Caribbean and three in Texas. The UN allocated over $US4 million in relief to affected Caribbean islands. Beryl hit Jamaica, Mexico, and Texas after becoming the fastest-developing category five Atlantic hurricane. Tens of thousands were left without power in Mexico, and nearly 3 million in Texas. Flooding and tornadoes are expected in Texas and surrounding states.
