Huntington Beach leads Orange County baseball rankings

Huntington Beach remains the top high school baseball team in Orange County, according to this week's rankings. The team, known as the Oilers, has a perfect record of 6-0 after winning four games last week, including a sweep against Marina. Orange Lutheran, Mater Dei, and Cypress have all advanced in the rankings following strong performances. Orange Lutheran improved to 8-1 by winning the Bishop Gorman tournament in Nevada. Mater Dei is still unbeaten at 8-0 after winning two recent games. Cypress moved up to fifth place after winning two games against JSerra. Laguna Beach also made headlines, rising four places to 19th with an impressive record of 10-0. Crean Lutheran and Trabuco Hills joined the Top 25 rankings this week, marking their strong efforts during the season. Key matchups are scheduled this week as several teams compete in the Boras Classic South tournament. Notably, Huntington Beach will face Aquinas, while Cypress will play Carlsbad.
