Owner Jon Haber plans to adapt the business to changing consumer habits while maintaining its presence in the region. Haber emphasizes that the sale of the Wappingers location is part of a strategy to ensure the company's future. He intends to keep the Middletown store open and has no plans to reduce staff. The Wappingers store, listed for $2.9 million, has the largest inventory of any independent music retailer in the U.S. The building was originally a Gateway Computer store before becoming a music shop.
