Hong Kong Airlines to launch Vancouver flights in January as part of expansion plans
Hong Kong Airlines will start flights to Vancouver on January 15, marking its return to long-haul operations. This route will operate twice a week using Airbus A330 aircraft. The airline aims to expand its international network, including potential services to the U.S. The airline's strategy includes hiring over 600 new staff this year, with plans to increase pilot numbers and other roles. It is also boosting flight frequencies to popular destinations like Seoul and Tokyo during the holiday season. In addition to Vancouver, Hong Kong Airlines plans to resume its Gold Coast route on January 17, 2025. The airline is exploring further U.S. routes, including Los Angeles and Seattle, but needs to expand its fleet to support this growth.
