Hollywood Brown re-signs with Chiefs, vows unfinished business
Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, has issued a message to rival teams after the Chiefs' tough Super Bowl loss. The Chiefs lost 40-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles last month. Brown recently signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs valued at up to $11 million. He said that he and the team have “unfinished business” after missing a chance for a historic three-peat. Although Brown struggled with injuries last season, he is eager to help the Chiefs succeed this year. His new contract guarantees him $6.5 million, with the potential for an extra $4.5 million through incentives. Brown expressed his excitement about returning, saying, “I knew all along I wanted to be back.” He felt supported by teammates and Mahomes, and this motivated him during his recovery from injury. In his time with the Chiefs, Brown has had limited statistics, with nine catches for 91 yards in the regular season and five catches for 50 yards in the playoffs. He is optimistic about the upcoming season and believes in the team's potential. Highlighting his teammates, including Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, he stated, “The sky’s the limit.” Brown aims to replicate or surpass his best season from 2021 when he recorded 91 receptions for over 1,000 yards and six touchdowns.
