Himachal Pradesh sets new drug user mapping deadline

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has ordered police officials to complete a survey of drug users by April 20. This decision came after a meeting where it was revealed that no district had finished mapping drug users, despite a March 15 deadline. Sukhu expressed dissatisfaction with the slow progress, especially since he previously informed the assembly that the mapping was complete. He directed superintendents of police to create detailed reports on drug consumers and suppliers at the panchayat level. The chief minister emphasized the government's commitment to combating drug abuse. He plans to review the situation on April 20 and will conduct surprise inspections. Sukhu has also instructed officials to increase monitoring of drug-related activities.
