Haryana launches road safety fund to enhance traffic safety measures

Haryana's public works minister, Ranbir Gangwa, announced a new road safety fund to reduce accidents during the launch of Road Safety Week. The state will invest in modern equipment for quality checks in road construction. The PWD has marked 3,700 km of roads with white strips to improve visibility in fog. Workshops will be held in schools to educate students on traffic rules and road safety. Gangwa emphasized that road construction quality will be prioritized, with measures to eliminate potholes. Necessary safety features like signboards and speed breakers will be installed as needed.
