Hamas to return bodies of Israeli hostages for prisoners

Hamas has agreed to return the bodies of four dead Israeli hostages in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. This decision comes as the first phase of a ceasefire agreement nears its end. Tensions escalated after Hamas misidentified a deceased hostage, leading to further disputes. Thousands of Israelis gathered to honor Shiri Bibas and her two children, who were kidnapped in October 2023. Their funeral will take place in Kibbutz Nir Oz.
