Hamas returns remains of Bibas family to Israel in Red Cross handover
Hamas has returned the remains of the Bibas family to Israel. The bodies of mother Shiri Bibas, her sons Kfir and Ariel, and another hostage, Oded Lifschitz, were collected by a Red Cross convoy. This handover follows a ceasefire agreement reached last month, facilitated by the United States, Qatar, and Egypt. Kfir Bibas was the youngest hostage taken during the October 2023 attack. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the return and described the day as one of grief for the nation. The Bibas family was abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz during the attack.
