Hamas returns hostages' bodies; Israel releases Palestinian prisoners

Hamas has returned the bodies of four Israeli hostages as part of a deal with Israel, which is set to release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. This exchange marks the final part of a fragile truce that began on January 19. The four hostages, identified as Tsachi Idan, Itzhak Elgarat, Ohad Yahalomi, and Shlomo Mantzur, were abducted during the October 7 attack. Israeli forensic teams will confirm their identities. The Palestinian prisoners being released include 445 men and 24 women and minors, along with 151 serving life sentences. The first phase of the ceasefire involved the exchange of 33 Israeli hostages for around 2,000 Palestinian detainees.
