Hamas returns bodies of four hostages including mother and children as IDF disputes identity
Hamas has returned the bodies of four hostages, including the mother and children of Shiri Bibas. The Israeli military disputes the identity of one body, claiming it does not belong to Bibas. The IDF stated that the bodies of Ariel and Kfir Bibas, aged 4 and 10 months, were returned after being murdered in November 2023. They accused Hamas of switching names on the coffins. Hamas plans to release six living hostages on Saturday, exceeding the initial agreement. They are also expected to return four more bodies next week, as part of a ceasefire agreement to release 33 hostages by March 2.
