Hamas releases final six Israeli hostages under Gaza ceasefire agreement
Hamas is releasing six Israeli hostages in Gaza, the last living captives agreed upon during a ceasefire that began last month. The first two were handed over to the Israeli military on Saturday morning. The remaining four hostages are expected to be released later in the day. This follows a previous exchange where families of hostages received the remains of some captives, including Shiri Bibas, whose body was confirmed to have been returned. After these releases, 63 Israeli hostages will still be held by Hamas, with at least 32 believed to be dead. Hamas has indicated a willingness to negotiate further exchanges in the next phase of the ceasefire.
