Hamas fails to return Israeli mother Shiri Bibas in hostage exchange, IDF confirms
The bodies of Israeli mother Shiri Bibas and her two young children were not among those returned by Hamas, despite expectations. The Israeli Defence Forces confirmed only the remains of the children, Ariel and Kfir, were identified. Hamas had assured that Shiri's body would be included in the exchange, leading to accusations of a "serious violation" of the ceasefire agreement. The IDF is demanding the return of Shiri's remains. Hamas plans to release six living hostages on Saturday and four more bodies next week. Approximately 60 hostages remain in captivity, with many believed to be deceased.
