The Indian Embassy in Qatar is aware of his situation and is in contact with his family. Amit Gupta was reportedly taken by unidentified individuals on January 1 while he was dining out. The specific reasons for his detention have not been made public. His family is seeking help from various officials, including the Prime Minister’s Office. Gupta's father, Jagdish, has expressed concern, stating they have no information about the charges against their son. They are praying for his safe return. Gupta's mother, Pushpa, shares the same worry. The family has also reached out to local MP Hemang Joshi for assistance. According to reports, Gupta is allowed to communicate with his parents once a week. During these calls, he has only said he wants to be released soon. The Indian Embassy continues to support his case and is in regular contact with his lawyer and Qatari officials.
