Greenville family expands farm market after career change
The Moore family, formerly in corporate jobs, transitioned to farming during the COVID-19 pandemic and are now expanding their local food market concept. They are opening new locations to bring farm-fresh products to consumers. The family's AM-PM Farms Butchery & Market, specializing in local, grass-fed meats and other regional products, opened a Greenville location in May and plans a third in August. This expansion follows the success of their initial market in Fountain Inn. The Moores' shift was driven by concerns about food security during the pandemic. Their business now includes a farm with 500 cows, pigs, and other livestock, and a market offering a variety of local goods.
