Greek business leaders seek government action on critical requests after Thessaloniki fair announcements

Greek business leaders expressed disappointment with government measures announced at the Thessaloniki International Fair, stating their critical requests remain unaddressed. The President of the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (ESEE), Stavros Kafounis, welcomed tax reductions benefiting families and the middle class but felt the business sector, particularly retail, was overlooked. Kafounis highlighted the need for permanent abolition of presumptive taxation, reduced insurance contributions, and better liquidity for sustainable growth, issues he continues to advocate for.
