Greece expects to absorb billions from Recovery Fund

The Greek government expects to absorb 4.9 billion euros from the Recovery Fund this year and 6.9 billion euros in 2026, according to Deputy Minister Nikos Papathanasis. Papathanasis stated the government aims to fully utilize available resources, with the final payments needing to be completed by December 31, 2026. He also announced adjustments to the "My Home 2" program to aid people with disabilities. The announcement was made at an ET Forum in Alexandroupolis, where Papathanasis also discussed railway subsidies and support for businesses in the region, including the potential for a 65% reduction in rail transport costs.
