Grant High School rehired Beck as football coach

John Beck has been rehired as the head football coach for Grant High School, marking his return to the program. He previously coached the team from 2018 to 2022. Beck's previous tenure at Grant saw a 20-17 record, including a 16-2 performance in the Portland Interscholastic League. He replaces Alex Melson, who departed after the 2024 season. Beck also has coaching experience at Crater and North Medford, and teaches physical education at Grant. He aims to build on the school's football tradition.
