Gorakhpura Panchayat uses substandard materials for bridge construction
Construction of two bridges in Gorakhpura Panchayat is under scrutiny due to the alleged use of substandard materials, including M-sand instead of sand. This raises concerns about the bridges' structural integrity. Local residents accuse the Sarpanch and Secretary of Gorakhpura Panchayat of using low-quality materials, insufficient cement, and M-sand in the bridge construction, funded by a 7.35 lakh grant. They also allege financial irregularities, including inflated bills and improper foundation work. Complaints also include claims of corruption in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana survey and the creation of artificial ponds. The in-charge CEO has promised an investigation into the matter.
