Google Wallet adds NFC support for physical transit cards

androidauthority.com

Google has released Google Play Services v26.35, enabling users to add physical transit cards and balances to Google Wallet using NFC technology. This allows NFC-compatible Android phones to be used for public transport access without carrying a physical card. The feature requires a phone with an NFC chip, and the update also includes an improved "Add a card" success screen. Additionally, Google Play Store v53.1 introduces a new navigation bar and short descriptions for apps in the "Similar Apps" section. The Play Store update also lets users see which devices have an app installed when browsing recommendations. Users can update via Settings > Google Settings > All Services, or enable automatic updates for Google System Services.
