Google updates Pixel insurance plans with new warranty options and provider change

androidpolice.com

Google has introduced a new 2-year extended warranty plan for Pixel devices, allowing owners to pay a one-time fee instead of monthly installments. Prices range from $99 to $279, depending on the model. Additionally, Google is changing its insurance provider from Assurant to Asurion for devices shipped after February 24, 2025. Assurant will continue to cover devices shipped before this date. The updated warranty plan is not yet available for purchase on the Google Store, but the support page has been updated to reflect these changes. A new "Your Devices" page is also in development to streamline support and repair requests.
