Google Maps limits Timeline feature to mobile devices only

lifehacker.com

Google is changing its Timeline feature in Google Maps, limiting access to mobile devices only. Users will need to transfer their existing data before the deadline, which varies but could be as late as June 9, 2025. Previously available on the web, Timeline will now only function on phones and tablets. This change means users will lose the ability to view their travel history on larger screens and see comprehensive overviews of their trips. Despite the limitations, the mobile version will retain many features, including insights on travel activities and categorized lists of visited places. Users can still edit their entries and manage their Timeline history through the app.
