Google Docs launches new feature to create formatted documents using Gemini

androidcentral.com

Google Docs has introduced a new feature called "Help me create," powered by Gemini, which allows users to create formatted documents from scratch. This feature enables easy integration of Google Drive files by typing "@" followed by the file name. While it can pull content from Workspace files, it does not retain the original layout or style and cannot generate images of people. The feature is currently available only for new, blank documents and is being rolled out gradually to users in the Gemini for Google Workspace Alpha and Workspace Labs programs.
