Genesis will enter the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans race with a car powered by a unique engine configuration. The car's design was unveiled at the New York Auto Show. The Genesis GMR-001 will feature a V8 biturbo engine, created by combining two 1.6-liter four-cylinder engines from the Hyundai i20 WRC. This car will compete in the LMDh category. The car's livery showcases an orange-to-red gradient, and the team hopes the engine will perform as well as the Hyundai WRC. McLaren will also return to endurance racing in 2027.
