Gautam Gambhir vacations in France after Champions Trophy win

timesofindia.indiatimes.com

Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of India's men's cricket team, is enjoying a vacation in France with his family. This getaway comes after he led India to victory in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, securing their first 50-over ICC title in 12 years. Gambhir is traveling with his wife Natasha and their two daughters, Aazeen and Anaiza. The family arrived in France last week following India's win over New Zealand in the tournament final held in Dubai. This victory marks India's third time winning the Champions Trophy, with previous wins in 2002 and 2013. On March 9, India defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the final match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Gambhir faced criticism earlier this season after the team's losses against New Zealand and Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, he bounced back by leading India to the title in Dubai. In recognition of the team's achievement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a prize of Rs 58 crore for the players. During the tournament, India finished at the top of Group A and went on to defeat Australia in the semifinals. Currently, Indian cricketers are participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with their respective teams. Although Gambhir is no longer a part of the IPL, he previously led the Kolkata Knight Riders to their third title last season. Looking ahead, Gambhir and the Indian team will begin a five-Test tour of England on June 20. This will be followed by series against Bangladesh, West Indies, and South Africa.
