Gansu's Jinchang builds multi-tiered elderly care system

A new "345养老模式" in Yongchang County, Gansu, has been designated a provincial pilot for elderly meal assistance, aiming to build a multi-tiered county-level elderly care system. This innovative model includes a three-tiered network, four care modes, and five services, including home-based care, mutual aid, institutional care, and social participation, with a focus on providing meals, housing, medical care, volunteer services, and smart monitoring. The county has achieved 100% and 63% coverage of elderly care services in urban and rural areas, respectively. The city of Jinchang is also exploring multi-layered elderly care, with the Jinchuan district establishing comprehensive service centers and promoting medical care integration, while also implementing various financial incentives and programs to support elderly care facilities.
