Gangster and associate killed in police custody escape attempt in India

A gangster named Ravi and his associate Ankit were shot dead while attempting to free him from police custody in Fatehabad. The incident occurred during a police escort to court when four of Ravi's associates attacked the police team. Ravi, facing 28 criminal cases, was being transported from Neemka prison for a hearing. Ankit, who had 14 criminal cases against him, was killed instantly, while Ravi died later at the hospital. One police constable was injured but is stable.
