Galaxy S25 Ultra ranks high for repairability but trails iPhone 16 Pro Max
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has received the highest repairability score for a Samsung phone in a decade, according to iFixit. It scored five out of ten, but still lags behind the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which scored seven. Improvements in the S25 Ultra include easier battery removal with sticky tabs and the ability to replace individual cameras. However, the selfie camera remains glued, and the screen is still difficult to remove. The iPhone 16 Pro Max's higher score reflects its design that prioritizes easier repairs and less adhesive use. This aligns with Apple's efforts to promote DIY repairs through its self-repair program.
