Gal Gadot has confirmed she is stepping down from the role of Wonder Woman, stating she has had no discussions with DC Studios about returning and wishing the next actress well in the part. In an interview published Thursday with ScreenRant, Gadot said she is grateful for the opportunity to portray the character and hopes her successor enjoys the experience. She debuted as Diana Prince in 2016's Batman vs. Superman and starred in her solo film in 2017. Gadot appeared as Wonder Woman in six films, with her last cameos in Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash three years ago. DC Studios, led by James Gunn, reset its canon in 2024, with only stories following Creature Commandos considered part of the new continuity.
