Fyre Festival 2 confirmed for May 2025 in Mexico

Billy McFarland, the founder of the notorious Fyre Festival, announced Fyre Festival 2 during a livestream press conference on March 27. Scheduled to take place in Playa del Carmen, Mexico from May 30 to June 2, the event aims to improve upon its disastrous predecessor. McFarland clarified that all necessary permits have been secured for the new location. He expressed confidence that this festival would be successful, noting strong support from local officials. Organizers plan to host around 1,800 guests and 40 musical acts, with more lineup details to be announced soon. Concerns about accommodations were addressed, stating that Playa del Carmen has plenty of five-star hotels and experiences. However, not all ticket packages ensure lodging, a significant change from the first festival, where attendees faced many unmet expectations. McFarland acknowledged the risks involved, but emphasized his team's commitment to making Fyre Festival 2 a success. Tickets are currently available, with prices ranging from $1,400 to $1.1 million for luxury packages.
