Funeral for Shiri Bibas and sons held in Israel

A funeral for Shiri Bibas and her two sons, Ariel and Kfir, is taking place in Rishon Lezion, Israel. Their remains were handed over by Hamas last week as part of a hostage exchange. The ceremony is private and closed to the public. Hamas transferred Shiri Bibas' remains to the Red Cross, which then delivered them to Israeli authorities. She was identified on Saturday. Previously, Hamas had returned a Palestinian woman, claiming the dead hostages were killed in an Israeli airstrike. Israeli authorities had already identified the remains of Bibas' sons and another hostage, Oded Lifshitz, before the handover. Hamas stated it had no intention of withholding bodies.
