Friends explore Viking Trail in Newfoundland and discover stunning landscapes and rich history
In June 2024, two friends explored Newfoundland's Viking Trail, focusing on the Great Northern Peninsula. They visited L’Anse aux Meadows, the site of the first known European presence in the Americas, and enjoyed stunning landscapes, icebergs, and local cuisine. Their trip included a zodiac-boat tour that showcased numerous icebergs, a highlight of their adventure. They also encountered wildlife, including caribou, and experienced diverse weather conditions while hiking in Gros Morne National Park. The friends appreciated the region's rich history, beautiful scenery, and gluten-free dining options. They found Newfoundland an ideal destination for hiking, Viking history, and unique culinary experiences.
