French artist Osman Mercan shifts from trap music to furniture design with new studio launch
Osman Mercan, a French artist known for his work in trap music, has launched a design studio called Age of Digital. He debuted his first furniture piece, a chair made from aluminum, using 3D tools typically used in film production. Previously the artistic director for trap artist Laylow, Mercan has created original environments for music videos and concerts. He aims to blend design with hip-hop culture, planning future releases that combine furniture with ready-to-wear items. Mercan's transition to design began after completing a project in 2021, where he realized his passion for creating objects and décor. He seeks to master design techniques to enhance storytelling through his work.
