A 24-year-old man was arrested in Ghaziabad for allegedly defrauding two individuals of Rs 2.64 lakh by promising them merchant navy jobs. The victims, from Kerala, filed a complaint leading to the arrest. The accused, Gali Prem Kumar Sandeep, an MBA graduate, created fake companies and advertisements to lure job seekers. He collected money, provided fake appointment letters and flight tickets, and instructed victims to meet him at the airport. Police investigations revealed the suspect had been running the scam for two years, contacting over 50 people. He faces charges including cheating and forgery.
