Franklin Regional baseball wins 18-3 against Penn Hills
On March 25, 2025, high school baseball games took place across various classes. In Class 5A, Franklin Regional defeated Penn Hills, 18-3, while Penn-Trafford won against Latrobe, 9-6. Plum also secured a win against Armstrong, ending with a score of 14-6. In other sections, Moon triumphed over South Fayette, 8-4, and Chartiers Valley edged out Trinity, 5-4. Bethel Park had a strong showing, winning both their games against Upper St. Clair, 7-4 and 15-0. Moving to Class 4A, Blackhawk beat Hampton, 6-4. Beaver won against Hopewell, 4-1, while Ambridge narrowly beat North Catholic, 4-3. In Section 2, Belle Vernon triumphed over Uniontown with a score of 11-2. In Class 3A, Mt. Pleasant dominated Freeport, winning 14-4. Deer Lakes also had a good game against Southmoreland, finishing 12-4. The schedule for games on March 26 includes several matchups across various classes. Noteworthy games include Franklin Regional playing at Penn Hills and Belle Vernon visiting Uniontown. In basketball, playoffs are underway, with several championship games scheduled.
