Flash fire at San Jose wastewater plant, no injuries

A flash fire occurred at the San Jose-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility on Tuesday morning. The incident happened around 10:20 a.m. at the plant located on Los Esoteros Road, just north of Highway 237. Authorities reported that the fire ignited due to chemicals and an aerosol. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported because the workers were wearing protective gear. Firefighters from the San Jose Fire Department responded to the scene. The two workers who were in the area at the time were checked and later confirmed to be safe. The Environmental Services Department is currently investigating the incident. They aim to understand the cause of the fire and will implement safety measures to prevent future occurrences.
