Final mail-in ballots to decide tight race in Saskatchewan's Saskatoon Westview
The 2024 election in Saskatchewan is still undecided in Saskatoon Westview, where NDP candidate April ChiefCalf leads Saskatchewan Party incumbent David Buckingham by just 37 votes after a second count on October 30. A total of 484 mail-in ballots were issued, with 291 counted so far. The remaining ballots, including those from correctional facilities and hospitals, will be included in the final count on November 9. Currently, the Saskatchewan Party has won 34 seats, while the NDP has 26. An NDP victory in Saskatoon Westview would mean all but one constituency in Saskatoon and Regina elected NDP candidates or incumbents.
