Fifty-nine hostages remain in Gaza, negotiations are urgent

Hamas has handed over the remains of four more hostages, bringing the total freed to 33, including eight who were killed. Five Thai hostages were also released separately. Currently, 59 hostages remain in Gaza, with 32 declared dead by Israel. The ceasefire's first phase is ending soon, and further negotiations are needed to prevent the war from resuming. Since the October 7 attack, Hamas abducted 251 people. Israel released nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the hostages during this ceasefire phase.
