Ferrari's 296 Speciale boasts 868bhp and enhanced aerodynamics

Ferrari has unveiled the 296 Speciale, a rear-wheel-drive sports car boasting 868bhp, promising an "emotionally charged" driving experience. The new Speciale, available in coupe and spider forms, features a redesigned rear end for 20% more downforce and is 60kg lighter than the 296 GTB, with a starting price of €407,000. The twin-turbo V6 engine has been enhanced with aluminum pistons and titanium components, increasing its output. The Speciale's production run will be shorter than the GTB's and offered exclusively to "active" Ferrari clients, with aerodynamic and suspension upgrades contributing to its performance.
