Experts advise Italians choose energy plans as prices fall

Energy prices are beginning to fall, prompting experts to suggest it's a good time to choose a new electricity and gas plan. This decrease follows a year after most users transitioned away from the regulated market. Altroconsumo advises that fixed-price offers are more advantageous for higher energy consumption, while variable-price plans are better for lower usage. The price drops, observed since April, are reflected in both fixed and variable rate offers. Consumers are encouraged to compare offers annually, using online comparison tools. Vulnerable customers, including those over 75, can access gradual protection services until June 30, 2025, offering potentially lower prices.
