Europe must lead on Ukraine to ensure security

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock stated that Europe must take the lead on Ukraine amid uncertainty over U.S. support. Her comments follow a tense meeting in the White House where U.S. leaders criticized Ukraine's diplomatic efforts. European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, will meet in London to reaffirm support for Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will also attend the summit. Baerbock called for the immediate release of a stalled €3 billion aid package for Ukraine and urged the European Council to approve a broader assistance plan. She warned against changing narratives that could undermine international law.
